Location access for geofencing
Some organisations use geofencing to confirm that staff are at the correct location when recording visits.
If geofencing is enabled, the Log my Care app needs location permission to allow you to:
Clock in or out of visits
Record care logs
Complete actions that require location verification
Without location access enabled, the app may prevent you from clocking in or completing certain tasks.
I'm still unable to clock in
If you've enabled location access but still cannot clock in, check that:
Location Services are turned on in your phone settings
Location permission for Log my Care is set to “Allow” or “While Using the App”
You are physically at the visit location
If the issue continues, please contact your organisation’s admin or Log my Care support.
Will the app track my location?
No. The Log my Care app does not track your location in the background.
Your location is only checked when you are actively using the app, such as when you:
Clock in or out
Create logs
Complete other actions that require location verification
This ensures visits are recorded accurately while respecting your privacy.
