We understand that planning is a crucial part of providing care for vulnerable individuals and whilst Care Plans and Risk Assessments are available, we know that these may not cover the key factors in preparing for certain risks relating to your clients. Contingency Plans ensure this preparation is documented!

Why would I create a Contingency Plan?

Contingency Plans give managers the ability to plan for something that they anticipate can become a risk. For example, let's say you have a client that has a mental health condition and they have never self-harmed before but you think that that might be a risk, you may create a contingency plan for that.

How do I access Contingency Plans?

To access Contingency Plans, log into the Care Office, go to the service user's profile, click on the 'Profile' dropdown list on the left side of the screen and select 'Contingency Plans'.

How do I create a Contingency Plan?

Creating a plan requires a few simple steps:

Step 1: Click 'Add new plan'

Step 2: Complete the relevant fields. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk

Step 3: Select a date for the next review. You can choose from the list of presets or add your own custom date underneath

Step 4: Once you're happy with changes, click 'Save'

How do I edit or delete a Contingency Plan?

Step 1: Once you've selected a plan, click 'Review'

Step 2: Make the desired changes and click 'Save'

How do I delete a Contingency Plan?

Once you've selected a plan, click 'Review' and click on 'Delete'
