You can set up stock counting when adding and configuring medication.
If you have already added medication to the system you can enable stock counting by performing a stock count for that medication in the Care Office or Carer App.
Step 1: Choose your units for stock
This will automatically be what you've chosen for the dose of the medication but you can change it to best fit how you manage stock for this medication.
For example, for Paracetamol, your dose will be tablets and your stock will be tablets as well.
If you'd prefer to list your dose as a different unit you can do so but note that it may affect your ability to use the expected stock function. Find out how our expected stock count works.
For things like e45 cream, your dose might be 1 fingertip unit but your stock will be tubs or pots that the cream comes in (what you're counting).
Step 2: Optional step to enter the current stock count
If you know the current stock count, you can add it here. If not, you can add this number later on.
And that's it, you've set up the stock for this medication!
If you've made a mistake and want to change any of these details you can do this from the medication 'Configuration' page.
Please note, that changing the details in the future will make past entries in the stock chart out of date.
