There are two ways you can update a stock count in the Carer App.

Option 1: Enter all the medication stock for a resident at once. This is useful when checking in or returning medication to keep the stock up to date.

Option 2: Enter stock for just one medication. Use this when giving out controlled drugs and you only need to count that medication.

Option 1: Enter all the medication stock at the same time

Step 1: On the resident eMAR page, scroll down and click on 'Medication Stock'

On this page, you’ll see a list of all the resident’s medications, along with either the expected stock or the last recorded stock count.

Step 2: Click 'Enter stock count'

You’ll then see a page where you can update the stock for each medication. You don’t need to fill in every one, just update the ones you’ve counted.

Step 3: Click 'Next' and then 'Save' 👍

All the new stock numbers you enter will be saved and logged in the system.

Option 2: Enter stock for a specific medication

Step 1: Click on 'View more information' text button at the bottom of any medication card 🔍

Here, you can see more details about the medication, like when it was last given and any related logs.

Step 2: Click 'Stock Count' at the top of the page ☝️

You’ll then have a space to enter the stock count.

Step 3: Press Save and you're all done 👍

That count will be saved as a log and can be viewed on the medication stock screen in the Care Office.
