There are two ways you can update a stock count in the Carer App.
Option 1: Enter stock records for multiple medications (bulk update)
Use this option to update stock levels for several medications at once - for example, when a new delivery arrives or when multiple disposals are made.
Option 2: Enter stock record for a single medication
Use this option to update or count the stock of one specific medication, such as when only one medication’s stock level needs adjustment.
Option 1: Enter stock records for multiple medications (bulk update)
Step 1: On the resident eMAR page, scroll down and click on 'Medication Stock'
On this page, you’ll see a list of all the service user’s active medications, along with either expected stock or the last recorded stock count, and any relevant stock warnings.
Step 2: Tap on “Manage Stock”, you’ll then see a page where you can select the type of stock record to add.
There are 3 types of stock records you can add – Stock Check, Add Stock or Disposal
Stock Check: Used for regular counts and verification of current stock levels, or to make quick adjustments to existing quantities
Add Stock: Used to log new stock when medication stock is received
Disposal: Used to record the disposal or wastage of medication, including pharmacy returns
Step 3: Select the medications to add the stock records for
Tap to select 1 or more medications to add the selected stock records for or choose to “Select All” to add stock record for all active medications.
Step 4: Fill out the details of the stock record and tap “Save Stock Record”
Option 2: Enter stock record for a single medication
Step 1: Click on 'View more information' text button at the bottom of any medication card 🔍 or “>” on any stock medication card
Here, you can see more details about the medication, like when it was last given and any related medication records.
