There are two ways you can update a stock count in the Carer App.

Option 1 allows you to enter all the medication stock for a resident in one go. This is handy for booking/checking in medication or returning medication, to make sure the stock is all up to date.

Option 2 allows you to enter stock for a specific medication. This can be used when you are administering controlled drugs and only need to write a count for that medication instead of all of them.

Option 1: Enter all the medication stock at the same time

Step 1: On the resident eMAR page, scroll down and click on 'Medication Stock'

On this page, you'll see a list of all the medications for this resident with the expected stock or the last counted actual stock.

Step 2: Click 'Enter stock count'

You'll then be given a page to update all the stock for the medication. It's not necessary that you fill out every one, so feel free to leave some if you haven't counted it.

Step 3: Click 'Next' and then 'Save' πŸ‘

All the new medication stock numbers will create a log and then be saved onto the system.

Option 2: Enter stock for a specific medication

Step 1: Click on 'View more information' text button at the bottom of any medication card πŸ”

Here, you can see more information about the medication, like when it was last administered and logs.

Step 2: Click 'Stock Count' at the top of the page ☝️

You'll then be given the space to enter the stock count.

Step 3: Press Save and you're all done πŸ‘

That count will then be saved as a log which can be viewed in the medication stock screen in the Care Office.
