What is a dummy profile?

A dummy profile is a client profile that you can use to test out features in the Care Office and Carer App or train your staff on how to use the system without effecting actual client data.

You can add two dummy profiles to each account. For each dummy profile the image, preferred name, name, gender and date of birth have been pre-populated for you and cannot be be changed.

The dummy profiles will not impact your bill.

How to add a dummy profile

Step 1 - Sign into the Care Office

Step 2 - Click the 'Add a Client' button

On the homepage of the Care Office, find the button 'Add a Resident' underneath the list of your clients. Depending on your set preferences, this might instead be called 'Add a Client', 'Add a Service User', 'Add a Tenant', 'Add a Supported Person' or 'Add a Customer'.

Step 3 - Select 'Dummy Profile'

You'll be prompted to choose between an active resident and a dummy profile. Active clients are your real clients, that will also affect your bill. Choose 'Dummy Profile' and click 'Next'.

Note: If you already have two dummy profiles added to your site, you will not be able to add a third profile.

Step 4 - Add the profile

You'll see the details of the dummy profile you are about to create. As it is a dummy profile all fields have been pre-populated for you and cannot be edited. Click 'Add' to add the profile.

Step 5 - Start using your dummy profile

Your dummy profile has now been created for you. You can edit the profile (except for image, preferred name, name, gender and date of birth) and start adding logs for the dummy client.
