Use PainChek to manage pain assessments more efficiently.

βœ… Before You Begin

Homes and Facilities

  • The facility name in PainChek must exactly match the home name in Log my Care.

  • Each home requires its own set of credentials.

Residents and Assessments

  • Residents in Log my Care must match with residents in PainChek (based on first name, last name, and date of birth).

  • If a resident exists in Log my Care but not in PainChek, they will be added automatically once the integration is active.

  • If you add a new resident in Log my Care, please add them to PainChek immediately.

  • Assessments recorded in PainChek will sync with Log my Care every 5–10 minutes.

Only active service users will show once synced, once you switch your service users from any inactive state to active they will be synced over.

Adding New Homes

If your group adds more homes later, let us know so we can configure the PainChek integration for each one.


πŸ” Step 1: Create a Credential for Each Home

You’ll need to create an integration for each home using PainChek.

Create the integration:

  1. Go to Home β†’ Integrations in Log my Care.

  2. Click the β€œ+” button in the top-right corner.

  3. In the pop-up window:

    • Display name: Enter the exact home name (must match the PainChek facility name).

    • Provider: Select Other (External Integration).

    • Click Save.

Adjust the access:

  1. Click on the newly created integration.

  2. Toggle Full site access to off.

  3. Click β€œYes, turn full site access off.”

Grant access to the correct home:

  1. Click the β€œ+” button.

  2. Select the correct home.

  3. Click the checkmark to confirm.


πŸ“€ Step 2: Send Integration Details to Us

  1. Go to Home β†’ Integrations.

  2. Click Actions β†’ Edit next to the integration.

  3. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.

  4. Send both details to our support team over live chat.


βš™οΈ What Happens Next

Once we receive your integration details:

  • Our team will get to work on setting up your integration.

  • We will delete your message and our internal message to keep credentials secure.

  • You can expect the integration to be completed within 48–72 hours.

  • You do not need to enter the PainChek Client ID or Secret again manually.


βœ… Integration Complete

Once the setup is finished, the PainChek integration will appear automatically.
