Standard logs can already be switched on or off within a category in Preferences. Now, you can do the same with Custom logs too! đ
You can switch a Custom log off on its own, or, if you switch off every log within a category (including the Custom log), the entire category will disappear from Daily Logs for your carers.
This gives you more flexibility to control exactly which logs your care team sees, while keeping all existing records safe and unchanged.
đ§ Two ways to set it up
1) Turn off the Custom log for a category
Go to Preferences.
Open the category you want to change.
Find Custom log.
Switch the toggle off (or back on, if you want to re-enable it).
Select Save changes
â The change applies straight away, and only to the site you're configuring â just like any other log setting.
2) Hide a whole category
Go to Preferences and open the category you want to hide.
Turn off every log listed, one by one, including the Custom log.
Select Save.
To note đ
There's no single switch to hide a whole category in one go. You turn off each log individually. The category header only expands and collapses the list and it doesn't control visibility. Turn any one log back on, and the category reappears in the App straight away.
đ In summary
You can now turn the Custom log off or on for any category, just like the standard logs.
Turn off every log in a category, including the Custom log, and that category disappears from Daily Logs in the App entirely. Turn any one back on and it reappears.
There's no single toggle to hide a category. You do it by turning off each log individually.
This is per site, and existing Custom log entries are never affected, no matter what you change.
For existing services, the Custom log is on by default in every category, so nothing changes for your carers until you choose to turn one off.
